Ministry of Awesome ("us", "we", or "our"), organiser of Electrify Aotearoa, recognizes that your privacy is very important. This Privacy Policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use, and sharing of your personal information or personal data whilst attending or registering for the Electrify Aotearoa event (“Event”).

 

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

While using our Site and attending the Event, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name ("Personal Information").

DIRECTLY FROM YOU, OR APPROVED THIRD PARTIES.

Attendee registration information. When you register to attend a Conference, you must provide us with basic information such as name, address, email address, telephone number, company name, role. We also asks questions associated with your dietary requirements, any accomodations you may need, and how you identify (role) in the community.

During the ticket purchase process, we may ask you for permission to share your information with our partners. If you agree to this, your information shall be shared with the event sponsors and partners upon their request. 

Volunteer registration information. When you register to volunteer at a Conference, you must provide us with basic information such as name, address, email address, telephone number, company name, role. We also give you the option to provide additional information.

Payment and credit card information. When purchasing tickets to attend a Conference, you must provide us with your name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card, debit card or bank information. This information will only be shared with third parties such as our ticketing provider, Humanitix, who perform tasks required to complete the purchase transaction.

Conference survey responses. We may ask you to participate in optional surveys regarding your experience at the Conference in order to help us improve the event and for related commercial purposes.

 

LOG DATA

Like many site operators, we collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site ("Log Data").

This Log Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Site that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze the data collected.

 

COMMUNICATIONS

By registering for the event and providing Personal Information may be used to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information from Ministry of Awesome. Where your Personal Information is acquired for such purposes, we will acknowledge and acquire your permission.

 

CROWD RELEASE/NOTICE OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING

When you enter the Electrify Aotearoa event, you enter an area—physically or virtually—where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By attending the event, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by the Electrify Aotearoa event and its affiliates and representatives.

Images, photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar events in the future, highlight the event and exhibit the capabilities of the Electrify Aotearoa event.

You release Electrify Aotearoa event organisers, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication and use of interviews, photographs, computer images, video, presentations and/or sound recordings.

By attending the event, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged.

You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by the organisers or the person or entity designated to do so by the Electrify Aotearoa event.
